Philip M. Chabot

Attorney Phil Chabot has been with Nuzzo & Roberts since he graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2016.  He was named Partner on January 1, 2023. Attorney Chabot practices all aspects of civil litigation with primary focuses on premises liability, motor vehicle and trucking torts, products liability, and animal/dog torts.  He also handles various probate matters for large healthcare clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Attorney Chabot was Moot Court President at Quinnipiac Law School and argued a controversial criminal appeal to the Appellate Court.  Attorney Chabot graduated Cum Laude from QU Law where he was awarded several distinguished academic awards:

• The Marci Karbane Moot Court Award (2016);
• Outstanding Performance in Oral Advocacy (2016);
• Excellence in Clinical Work (2016);
• Service to the Law School (2016);
• Distinguished Academic Achievement Award in Criminal Procedure (2015);
• Sandra and Martin Lax Scholarship (2015); and
• National Appellate Advocacy Competition Award (2015).

Before moving to Connecticut, Attorney Chabot was a life-long Rhode Island resident, and he graduated Dean’s List from the University of Rhode Island where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Science.

Attorney Chabot has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers; although he prides himself on his legal achievements, his greatest accomplishment is his family.  He is an avid Patriots fan, and he played Division One Soccer and Baseball before attending law school.
