Carmine Annunziata

Partner

Carmine has three passions: family, traveling, and practicing law.

Carmine is a Partner at Nuzzo & Roberts, LLC. He graduated from Quinnipiac University, magna cum laude, in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies and a minor in History. In 2013, he received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Pace University School of Law.

Carmine is a first-generation American, both his parents having emigrated from Italy in the early 1970’s. He was the first in his family to earn a college degree, but took his accomplishment even further and became the first to attend law school. Carmine has always been intrigued by the courtroom, and does not recall a time when he did not want to become an attorney. He started his path early on, by taking mock trial and introductory law classes in high school, and continued to take every opportunity to learn more about the practice of law throughout his higher education. He is also passionate about traveling, and plans to visit as many new places as he can. He enjoys spending his free time with family, and his dog Romeo. He is fluent in Italian.

While in law school, Carmine worked as a certified legal intern for the State of Connecticut, Division of Criminal Justice. He has also been involved with the Innocence Project, and worked with a team of student-attorneys which successfully exonerated a wrongfully-convicted man who served 10-years in prison based on misidentification and undisclosed DNA evidence.

Prior to joining Nuzzo & Roberts, LLC, Carmine practiced in the area of civil litigation, handling medical and legal malpractice cases, motor vehicle and premises liability cases, Dram shop cases, and workers’ compensation. He has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in civil matters, in both state and federal court. He now practices in the area of insurance defense. Specifically, he represents defendants in Health Professional Liability, Construction Litigation, Product Liability, Premises Liability, Legal Malpractice and Motor Vehicle Tort cases.

Carmine was admitted to the Connecticut State bar in 2013, the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut in 2014, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 2018. He is an active member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the New Haven County Bar Association, and the Italian American Bar Association.
